Fresca Recs is here to bring the juice and bubbles

Close pals Hazr (Magic Carpet) and Velvet Velour (Silky Beats) have joined forces to bring a fresh new vinyl series, delivering unreleased music from their favourite producers.

To kick things off they’ve invited one of the smoothest cats to ever do it- Seafoam. West Coast goodness in its finest form. If you’ve been digging for deep house then you’ll have certainly had your ears graced by the airy, brain soothing frequencies of Brian Cavender at some point or another.

As prolific as they come, it was no surprise he had buckets of gems to dig through and choose from. Some old, some new… Four of which have been selected for FRESC01.

Enjoy!

Pyatigorsk-born dynamo b0n dishing out some naughty breaks for his debut on X-Kalay sub-label, Another Place.Four distinct traxxx going from full-blown seismic tremors to lithe, dreamier fare. A love letter to the halcyon days of ‘90s hardcore, perhaps?Synths darting (just how we like ‘em), ragga vocal samples enhancing that UK kinda feel. First track sounds a bit like something you might have heard in some disused airplane hangar circa ’92.Kicking off with a trio of straight-to-the-point accelerators and closing on some lush, levitational gear. Hi-octane rave utopia or blistering ride into oblivion? You decide. He said not to mess with his breaks. Nuff said really.
Reissue of seminal 1992 Bodysnatch cut ‘Euphony (Kuff Mix)’, later released as ‘Just 4 U London’. Accompanied by two more Bodysnatch back catalogue highlights from 1992 – ‘Eyes On The Horizon’ and ‘The Strength (Mental Rapids)’.All three tracks have been remastered with love and care by Johanz Westerman from the original recordings and selected for reissue by Parts Unknown and Craigie Knowes.
Year 3670. Earth still chokes under the Global Order’s silence. Music—once a human birthright—is outlawed, erased, forgotten. But deep beneath the static, something stirs.SHIFT has returned!New recruits are armed with forbidden vinyl, analog synths, and rhythm-coded grooves; they strike from the shadows. Their weapon: soundwaves engineered to shatter neural suppression. Each track is a battle cry. Each bassline is a crack in the regime’s silence. Their mission: spark the rebellion and make the world feel again.
Secretsundaze’s recently minted 9FINITY continues its stellar run of explorations into the outer regions of modern club music with an imprint debut from fast-rising talent Milès Borghese.Borrowing elements from early Detroit techno, and Perlonized minimal, the ‘Antic Drive’ EP distills the German-born, Austria-based producer’s broad spectrum of influences into a highly functional, club-ready collection of tracks that perfectly fits the imprint’s modus operandi. The A-side kicks off with ‘Do You Ever Fantasize’, a deep club tool built around the vocal sample of the title and punctuated by building drums, alien sonics at every turn, and a mean, highly danceable bassline to boot. The peak time worthy ‘Sustain’ follows an impressive opening, as an incessant mind-looping hypnotic groover aimed straight at the floor. The EP’s title track ‘Antic Drive’ opens up the flip. Leaning on subtle textures and almost off kilter percussion, minimal broody deepness is the motive here. Borghese’s impressive first outing wraps up with ‘Mateo Does’, a driving rhythm-heavy track built for late nights and early mornings.
