Originally from Manchester and now based in Portugal after years in Berlin, SY’s seasoned craft materialises in his groovy, housey tracks with old school rave and progressive house touches.Side A opens with the energy inducing ‘Beyond Expectations’, translated also into ‘Warehouse 92’. On Side B, the richly textured, retro-leaning, and irresistibly danceable ‘Metamorphosis’ creates a solid footing for Paolo Mosca’s remix, which closes the record.Metamorphosis comes in exciting time for SY, who has a forthcoming EP slated for release on Slump and continues to lead his own imprint, E&X Records.
