A new player has entered the game. The Austrian born Miles delivers the next 12” in the Squid Recordings series, a deliciously curated palette of club music programmed for the Euro-mind and beyond. The five tracks, all bubbling though various stages of analog circuitry, are a sonic sampler in the young producers archives. From Aside opener “Cruel Carbo’s” twisted techy drumwork, to the freaked out breaks sprinkled throughout “Are You Ready?”, SR003 is as serious as it gets. No filler all killer.
For the second release of Cartulis sub label ALT delivers a VA with some of the hottest producers around. A1 is Prince de Takicardie's new aka. A rolling stripped back track with maximum effectiveness for the dancefloor. Uruguayan DJ/Producer Cabanelas delivers A2 with Sambu y Los Morsas. A techno/house infused track with a touch of romanticism on the back. Cartulis resident and master of the craft Z@p brings the heat to the B side with what some would feel like a resemblance to his past work for Cartulis with Tracid. After hours tip! B2 is a techno work out by old school producers Justin Drake and Paranoid London's main man Quinn Whalley that will keep any dancefloor engaged.
For their fourth release of the year, Chat Noir Tools welcomes Hamburg based producer and DJ Rupert Marnie! Co-founder of The Press Group and part of Remoto record store, the german artist is one to watch among the new scene. In his High Tech Artisan EP we can feel his very distinctive touch: sci-fi influenced music with artificial voices from the future, vocal synths, psychedelic soundscapes and pads. Rupert Marnie also adds complex drum programming and acid bass lines to create his very own groovy yet minimalistic sound crafted for a cyber and playful dance floor.
Situated at the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica and its inhabitants are surrounded by the abundance and cultural diversity of the region. In celebrating this richness, we have curated a collection that embraces the eclectic musical styles and creative spirit that characterize this historic geographic area. With 6 producers hailing from Aiacciu, Bastia, and Sicilia, prepare yourself for a journey full of surprises.Discover the spacey and epic electro beats from Jimmy Batt's secret mind, then delve into the medieval chiptune-infused vibes of Human_Aventura, before being carried away by the romantic dark disco of Pasqua. Explore the B-side of the EP and be enchanted by the schizophrenic and haunting house of Blinkduus Dischetto, Monica Venturella's acidic electro with special triple-blade effect, before finally getting lost in the powerful and sensory anarchy of Ørsø. The choice is yours: unleash the Mediterranean power on the dancefloor or immerse yourself in our underground culture with ease at home. Oh yeah, as Aiaccini, we put our name big in the title. That's why we're Bastardi.
