Moto Music celebrates 30 years; the same philosophy remains to bring classic memories to the turntables & dance floors since 1994. A new collaborative endeavor from the remarkable talents of Alex Picone and Prince De Takicardie is fresh up on the Moto Music turismo for 2024, debuting the creation- June 22 ,,Astro Twin'' Ep; a reference to their shared birthday and zodiac sign, this 140 gram plate includes 4 distinct flavors of hardware bred, funky and psychedelic fusions for the energetic body and curious mind. Raw, underground & Futuristic, yet familiar to the arcade atmospheres and authentic old times with a charming palette of Acid House, Detroit Techno, Cosmic Breaks, and mystic Trance for colorful design; …the Astro Twin Ep courtesy of June 22 awaits you…proudly presented by Moto Music for our 20th release and 30th anniversary.
Bristol-based, vinyl-only imprint Sex Tapes From Mars continues its voyage through the cosmos of underground electronic music with Suburbia head-honcho, Cam Stockman. His latest EP, “All Juiced Out”, is a raw, hypnotic four-tracker, and deep-dive into the world of vintage analogue synthesis, acid-drenched basslines, and sensual vocal hooks - a bold statement from an artist unafraid to push boundaries. Opening with “Dreams In The RS,” Stockman sets a sharp, pacey, retro-futuristic oxymoron tone, blending dreamy swirling pads and bells, with driving, squelchy rhythms. The momentum builds and bellows with “Chicktikka,” a frenetic fusion of skittering percussion patterns, infectious bass grooves, and sexy vocal cuts. The evocative “Useless” offers peak time energy, with its shadowy atmospheres and bubbling synth tinkers, before the EP culminates in “The Acceptance Speech” a euphoric and deeply layered finale that encapsulates the full space-age emotional spectrum of the release. “All Juiced Out” is a testament to Stockman’s mastery of analogue textures and his ability to channel rousing emotion into the diverse language of techno. Dropping now on heavyweight vinyl, it’s a must-listen for fans of punchy rollers and Bristol’s ever-evolving sonic underground. To summarise simply, each track here presents an uncompromised dance floor bomb - not to be missed!
Next up on MovetoneWax is Nick Beringer, a name that speaks for itself with a string of standout releases on labels like Raum…Musik, Mosaic, and Daydream, just to name a few. His Shortcut EP for the label steps out of his comfort zone while retaining his unmistakable signature sound. The two original tracks are dialing for some serious damage on the dance floor. On remix duties, we’ve enlisted two heavyweight producers. Tommy Vicari Jnr offers a hypnotic journey, driven by a wobbly bassline that’s bound to keep the groove going strong. Pascal Benjamin's take brings his unique touch, offering a fresh interpretation while staying true to the original’s melodic elements.Shortcut EP brings together three artists of exceptional caliber, and MovetoneWax couldn’t be prouder to host them on one release. The results speak for themselves.
Capítulo VII: “Ahora más que nunca”
REZ21twentyone is here and this time we venture back to the UK for a slice of top shelf progressive house. Jamm Records was responsible for a sleuth of underground sleeper hits during the early 90's with label owner Nick Woolfson contributing to the production process on quite a few of them. Alongside his studio partner Mark Shimmon they serve up a banging two tracker titled 'AmaZone' with two slightly different mixes for two different occasions. Hands in the air ? or deep & dubby ? The choice is yours.
